I’ve not used Nike+ personally, but caitlinburke gave me the following information.

Nike+ is fun, but requires Nike-compatible equipment that greatly limits what you can log (data can only be imported from the device, from what I can tell). I found the visualizations of miles/steps-logged helpful and entertaining when ramping my activity back up. I would not hesitate to recommend it to someone who had just got a compatible Nike+ device. The device advantage is that it's a simple set-it-and-forget-it system for someone who is just doing straightforward stuff that can be monitored with minimal equipment, e.g., walking, running.)
