I recently read 'Altitude Training and Athletic Performance' by Randall L. Wilber, which is one of the best books on the subject. This is a great book if you want to know the more about Altitude Training. The author goes into detail, covering the history of Altitude Training, as well as analyzing the huge number of research studies that have been performed. I found the book useful, though generally too detailed to be digestible. If you are serious about Altitude Training, or competing at altitude, this book is well worth it. If you are considering purchasing an Altitude Training system (hypoxia system), then I would recommend reading this book first.
