The [http://www.roadrunnersports.com/rrs/products/SCN1038/ Virrata] feels almost identical to the [[Altra Torin]], and when I wore one on either foot I found I could feel only minor differences in the sole. However, as the two shoes age the Virrata becomes a little softer, but the Torin does not. The Torin's toe box is like most other shoes and is way too small, but [[Shoe Modifications| cutting the toe box open mostly solves the problem]]. The Virrata is a nice shoe, and while not as good as the other shoes in this category, it's also quite a bit cheaper.
